Once again The Forsyth Astronomical Society will be participating in the North Carolina Statewide Star Party, which will be held on Friday April 4 and Saturday April 5. The star party is part of the month-long North Carolina Science Festival.
FAS has four activities scheduled. All are open to the public. A weather call will be made the night before each event and posted on the individual page for that event on the FAS website and Facebook page.
- Solar/Moon observation at Surry Community College (201 College Circle, Dobson, NC 27017) on Friday, April 4 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
- Solar observation at Kaleideum on Saturday, April 5 from 10:00 AM to Noon.
- Solar observation at the Forsyth County Central Library on Saturday, April 5 from 10:00 AM to Noon.
- Evening observation at the Yadkin Memorial Park at Lake Hampton (1200 Crystal Lane, Yadkinville, NC 27055) on Saturday, April 5 from 8:45 PM to 11:00 PM.
