How far would you go to photograph the sky? One of our newest members, John Leyendecker, recently traveled to the Atacama desert in Chile with his son Michael, his binoculars, and his Canon EOS 60Da camera to observe and capture the wonders of the Southern Hemisphere sky. John will share the details of his trip for those of us who are inspired by his images to follow in his footsteps. His talk will discuss the prime targets in the Southern Hemisphere to observe and photograph, and he’ll provide some tips for navigating the Southern Milky Way with binoculars. Join us on October 22 for amazing astrophotos and images of spectacular desert sights.
