The first meeting of the Forsyth Astronomical Society for the 2020 observing season will be on Wednesday January 8th, 7:30 pm, at Kaleideum North. The presentation topic this month will be a viewing and discussion of an episode of the BBC’s Sky at Night entitled “Alien Worlds.” The show travels to the UK Astronomy Technology Centre in Edinburgh to see a camera designed to take pictures of exoplanets and journeys through exoplanet discoveries. We will also have a slide show presented by club VP Justin Nichols. The presentation will be a photo recap of events from the 2019 observing season. Justin will also present statistics on events and happenings this past season.
Following the presentation portion, we will have a brief business/planning meeting and as always, there will be an informal social gathering 30 minutes or so before the meeting. Come early for the best choice of doughnuts. All meetings are open to the public, free of charge and all are welcome. Hope to see you there.
