WEATHER UPDATE: Saturday’s daytime clouds are forecasted to dissipate after sunset. The public observation at Kaleideum North will take place as scheduled.
GOODBYE Kaleideum North!
Kaleideum North will close on December 31, 2023.
A brand new Kaleideum facility will open downtown on Third Street in the spring of 2024.
To celebrate, the stars will be shining brightly in the night sky. We’ll bring them closer to you with a night of astronomical observation at Kaleideum North (400 West Hanes Mill Road in Winston-Salem, NC) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday, December 30.
This event is weather-dependent, and this post on the FAS Website along with the FAS Facebook page will be updated with the weather decision the evening before the event.
This event is free and open to the public. The observing site is in the museum parking lot. As a courtesy to those present, if you arrive after dark, please turn off your headlights and drive slowly with just your parking lights.
