Stone Mountain State Park
Directions
- From Winston-Salem, take US 421 north to exit 265 A, Interstate 77 north
- Continue to exit 83, US 21 north
- Continue 10.7 miles and turn left on Traphill Road
- Continue 4.4 miles and turn right on John P Frank Parkway
- Continue 2.3 miles and enter Stone Mountain State Park
- Turn right on Royal Camp Lane and proceed to the campground A Loop
- The observing site is in the field behind A Loop campsite 33
- Parking in the field is for attendees with telescopes only. No vehicles are allowed past the concrete structure in the middle of the field.
- Additional parking is available at the A Loop bathhouse, along the access roads away from campsites and intersections, or at the campground office.
