On March 2nd, GTCC/Cline Observatory will host its annual astronomy conference, The Triad Star Festival ( Tri-Star). This event is FREE and open to all with an interest in astronomy both novice and professional alike. This years opening pre-conference lecture is on Friday March 1st at 7:00 pm by:

Saturday’s lectures are:
- Mike & Larry Puzio (OSIRIS-Rex Ambassadors) – OSIRIS-REx Arrival at Asteroid Bennu
- Ward Howard (UNC-CH) – Do Superflares Make Proxima b & the Nearest Terrestrial Exoplanets Uninhabitable?
- John O’Neal (NASA Ambassador) – The Past, Present and Future of the NASA Parker Solar Probe
- Stella Kafka (AAVSO) – The AAVSO for the Amateur Community
